Eline Heppe

Eline is a senior researcher at the Royal Kentalis Academy and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her research focuses on social participation, inclusion, and psychosocial functioning of deaf and hard-of-hearing people, people with visual impairments, and people with deafblindness, and their families. At the Royal Kentalis Academy and within Deelkracht, she leads two nationwide research programs on deaf and hard-of-hearing adults and on people with deafblindness. She is one of the initiators and the project leader of Driven. Within Driven, she supervises the research projects aimed at better understanding the relationships between labor market participation, education and mental health of deaf and hard-of-hearing people and people with visual impairments.
