Nino is a PhD candidate at the Department of Clinical Neuro and Developmental Psychology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Netherlands, funded by Deelkracht. His research focuses on the mental health of deaf and hard-of-hearing working-age adults in the Netherlands, utilizing both systematic reviews and large-scale administrative data from Statistics Netherlands and general practitioner records from Nivel. Within Driven, he aims to strengthen the evidence base by identifying trends and potential vulnerabilities across DHH subpopulations. This research aims to support the development of tailored and inclusive interventions as well as improve screening practices. Ultimately, his goal is to enhance mental health outcomes and quality of life for DHH working-age adults.
