Scientific article: Systematic review of labour market outcomes of people who are deaf and hard of hearing

Deaf/hard-of-hearing

The study aims to synthesise empirical evidence on differences in labour market outcomes between deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) individuals and their typically hearing (TH) counterparts through a systematic review.

The outcomes examined included income, employment participation, absenteeism and compensation, early retirement, occupation type, and gender disparities in these areas.

The results were presented and discussed in a sounding board with members including people with lived experience, professionals, researchers, and representatives from diverse DHH-related organisations.
